We work with Architectural Plans for extensions and alterations to produce a structural report that include calculations and details for submission to building control and for construction.
Make sure to get a structural report before finalising the price with your builder to ensure your builder uses code compliant beam, roof timber sizes etc. that will meet Building Regulations requirements.
For extensions we always recommend you employ an architect or architectural consultant to obtain either planning approval or a certificate of lawful development before coming to EDC to design the structural members.
